Dress up your mantel or front door with this lovely DIY paper wreath that’s easy, inexpensive, and oh-so-perfect for the holidays.
What you’ll need:
Directions:
1. To make this lacy-looking wreath, lay out 75 six-inch paper doilies and, working one at a time, apply a thin line of white glue around the outer edge and cover with glitter. Allow the doilies to dry completely.
2. Begin to build the wreath by pinching a glittered doily in the centre and fan out the edges.
3. Using a straight pin, affix the paper “flower” to a 20-inch Styrofoam wreath form.
4. Continue layering the wreath with glittered doilies.
Total Cost: $16, plus wreath form.
Tip: Fill in the gaps with pinched flowers made from smaller, four-inch doilies without glitter (you’ll need about 80 of these).
