Looking for a quick way to brighten up your child’s bedroom without breaking the bank? Shannon Berrey‘s ribbon chandelier is the perfect way to add a pop of colour to any space. Hang it over your child’s bed to create a makeshift canopy, or use it to decorate your home for birthday parties.

Shannon used two hula hoops to create a two-tier chandelier, and then embellished it with paper circles glued to pieces of string. But what’s so great about this craft is that you can customize it however you’d like. It’s also a fun project idea for the entire family to work on—we’re sure you and your kids will have a blast putting it together.

What you’ll need:

  • Hula hoop(s)
  • Sheets of neon posterboard
  • String
  • Ribbons or flagging tape in varying colours and widths
  • Scissors
  • Glue gun
