These quick and simple DIY discovery bottles that we found on Modern Parents Messy Kids are not only magical to look at, but also great for sensory learning. Kids can create mini ocean waves when they shake a bottle of water and baby oil, or look for hidden letters and/or objects in a rice-filled bottle. There are endless filler options, making these bottles great sources of entertainment for little ones during car rides or when they simply have some downtime at home.

What you’ll need:

  • Plastic bottles
  • Glue Gun
  • Fillers of your choice

To see how the bottles in this photo were created, visit the Modern Parents Messy Kids site. Using different liquids and items in each bottle produces different effects, so kids are sure to be enthralled for hours!
