Strawberry-picking season may have passed, but that doesn’t mean you can’t try out this neat craft idea from Aunt Peaches.

Before you send those empty strawberry containers off to the recycling bin, why not decorate them and put them to better use? They’re the perfect size for loose knick-knacks around the house or to use as gift-giving boxes. The kids could even use them as treasure boxes or keepsakes for their own special belongings.

What you’ll need:

  • Clear strawberry boxes
  • Permanent marker
  • Paint in various colours
