Looking for a fun activity to keep wee ones busy while you work on dinner? This simple colour matching game is the ultimate budget-friendly activity. Not only will it keep little ones busy on a rainy afternoon, but it will also help them learn about colours and develop their fine motor skills.

This awesome activity was shared by Carrie over at Two Friends Two Cities One Vision. As Carrie mentions, it’s a great craft for kids to do together, as older children can help with cutting and gluing, while younger kids will love the bright colours and then fun of matching the pegs to the chips.

What you’ll need:
• Wooden clothes pins
• A glue stick
• Paint chips

Paint chips should be available for free at your local hardware or home improvement store, while clothes pins and glue sticks are easy to find at your nearest dollar store—or you may have some around the house already!
