There’s something a bit magical about summer, isn’t there? The bright blooming flowers and soft glow of the fireflies really bring your backyard to life. And you just never know what kind of visitors might stop by! We spotted this sweet idea for a whimsical butterfly fairy garden over at Fishly News, home of crafty mama Giulia. It’s a great way to get your little ones outside and encourage them to use their imaginations as they create a special garden space for some fairy friends.

What you’ll need:
• Wooden crates (Giulia found hers at the LCBO)
•  Gravel (optional)
• Soil
• A variety of plants
• Decorative toys (castles, fairies, etc.)

You’ll find Giulia’s full step-by-step instructions—and lots of great photos—over at Fishly News. For another cute fairy craft idea, check out these fairy toadstool plant markers from Andrea Tomkins.
