With a few more months of grey and dreary winter weather on the horizon, it’s time to get creative with colour indoors. We love this simple and inexpensive decor idea from Rebecca Kedborn, the crafty blogger from Sweden behind Rebecca’s DIY. With just a few basic materials you can create a string of hanging mini lamps that will (literally) brighten up your little one’s room with a much needed burst of colour.

This is a great project for older kids, too. Just let them choose their favourite fabrics, give them some pre-cut pieces and let them decoupage the afternoon away.

What you’ll need:
• Small clear plastic cups
• Paper
• Pencil
• Scissors
• Mod Podge
• Foam brush
• Fabric in various colours and patterns
• String of mini lights

You’ll find the full instructions over at Rebecca’s DIY (note: you will need to use the Google Translate tool on the site to convert the post to English).
