5 Keys to the Perfect Playroom

There’s a lot that has to go into a great playroom: it needs space for learning and running around, lots of storage, and above all, it has to inspire kids to play! This bright basement playroom, designed for Toronto’s Murrell family by the team at HGTV’s The Style Dept., has it all.

5 Keys to the Perfect Playroom

4. storage galore

Toys and books are a playroom’s bread and butter, but it’s much nicer when you can tuck them out of sight at the end of the play date. Provide storage low enough to the ground so that even little ones can participate in cleanup (or so they can reach their favourites without your help). A book rack keeps books front-of-mind and easy to access, and colour-coded bins and baskets can help keep everything organized.
