Model and actress Molly Sims has been open about documenting her pregnancy on her own site, and her latest post is all about trying to come with a name for her baby (I feel her pain). Sims says on her site:

“Scott and I have been bouncing lots of baby names off of each other, but nothing’s stuck quite yet. We’ve been reading baby naming books, discussing our favorite characters from books and movies and thumbing through the list of the 100 most popular baby names of 2011 for inspiration.”

Her husband, astoundingly, wanted to name the baby Duke if it’s a boy, which in and of itself isn’t horrible, save for the fact that they’ve already given that name to their dog. And I’m pretty sure there’s an unwritten rule about naming your baby the same name you’ve given your dog. (Funnily enough, I know many dogs named Molly.)

Sims has opened it up to her fans for ideas, and she’s had some decent suggestions (and some less decent, i.e. “Princess”). For the sake of Molly, and also for me, please tell us how you chose your baby’s name! It’s much, much harder than it looks.
