Ah, winter. It’s a season that inspires us to eat more hot, comforting meals like soups and stews. But what about breakfast? If you’ve been defaulting to a bowl of oatmeal, consider changing things up a bit with this tasty breakfast recipe from our friends at 20 Minute Supper Club: Cinnamon Quinoa Cereal with Peaches and Toasted Pecans. (Yum!)

We love quinoa because it is so versatile—you can enjoy it in a savoury salad or sweetened, as it is in this recipe. It also packs a big nutritional punch and is a great source of protein. If you’re crunched for time on busy mornings, you can easily whip up a batch of this breakfast quinoa on a Sunday to enjoy later—it will last in your fridge (tightly sealed) for two or three days. Not a fan of peaches and pecans? Add your favourite berries and nuts to suit your family’s taste. It’s a great breakfast on the go.

What you’ll need:
• Light brown sugar
• Cinnamon
• Quinoa
• Pure vanilla extract
• Orange zest
• Peaches
• Pecans
• Almond milk (or another milk of your choice)

You’ll find the full recipe and cooking instructions for this Cinnamon Quinoa Cereal with Peaches and Toasted Pecans over at 20 Minute Supper Club.
