You may have heard that Justin Bieber is auctioning off his small beige snake, Johnson (yes, really), for charity. While we’re all for celebrities raising money for charity, we do have some concerns about the idea of auctioning off a live animal. How can Bieber be sure that whoever wins his snake can properly take care of it? And shouldn’t a life, snake or otherwise, be better protected than being sold off to the highest bidder?
Our friends over at Toronto Life have the latest on the auction, and who is in the lead. At last check, the price for Johnson was sitting at $2,270.20. Read the story here. And let us know: do you have problems with the idea of auctioning off a pet?
