The team here at CanadianFamily.ca is made up of some serious tea drinkers. We spend a lot of time smelling, sampling and sipping the delicious drink. We like it iced in the summer and hot in the winter. When one of us discovers something great, it spreads around the office like wildfire. And when one of us discovers something beyond great, we feel the need to share it with everyone.

This fall, Canadian tea company DavidsTea is collaborating with Kanpe—a Montreal-based organization that aims to break the cycle of poverty in Haiti by encouraging financial autonomy through improved agriculture, nutrition, safe housing, education, and health programs—to bring Canadians a special (and delicious!) new loose-leaf tea blend.

Inspired by Haitian culture and folk medicine, the Kanpe tea blend at DavidsTea contains all Haitian ingredients, including organic hibiscus, organic mango, organic cinnamon, organic papaya, organic banana, organic coconut and organic stevia for a delightfully sweet and tart flavour combination. And not only is it super yummy (a fact that has been verified several times over by our taste testers), but 100 percent of proceeds from the sale of the Kanpe tea blend will also be donated to the organization.

Kanpe tea blend, $7 for 40g gift tin, available at DavidsTea stores in Toronto and Montreal and online at davidstea.com.
