We’ve spotted some very cute Halloween door decorations around the web lately, but this DIY spooky door hanger from crafty mama Shalamar at Obsessively Crafting really caught our eye. Not only is it a fun way to dress up your home for Halloween, but it’s also inexpensive and a great project for older kids to help with.

Shalamar has made her hanger with Frankenstein, a pumpkin, a ghost and a spider, but with a little imagination you could create any combination of Halloween characters you wish!

What you’ll need:
• Square coasters (check the dollar store or second-hand shop)
• Paper in various colours
• Black vinyl (optional—black paper will work just as well)
• Black marker
• Pencil
• Sticks
• Black spray paint
• Hot glue gun
• Halloween ribbon

You’ll find the complete step-by-step tutorial for this Halloween door hanger over at Obsessively Crafting. For more great Halloween projects, check out these 13 fun Halloween craft ideas.
