Keeping your wee one entertained at home all day isn’t all about Barney and The Wiggles. Once kids grow tired of colouring and singing along to their favourite tunes, it’s nice to be able to set them up at a table with an activity that’s both fun and educational—like this letter matching game from Shannon, the crafty mama behind the website Tot School.
We love this idea because it’s so simple to put together and is sure to be a hit with little learners. It’s also incredibly budget-friendly—just check the dollar store for some of these plastic eggs and you’re good to go. Your kids will be masters of the alphabet in no time!
What you’ll need:
• Plastic eggs (enough for the entire alphabet)
• Baskets/bowls/boxes
• An empty egg carton
• A permanent marker
You’ll find the full instructions for making your own Letter Matching Eggs (along with some super cute photos!) over at Tot School. And if you’ve got some eggs left over, try making a few of these light-up fireflies, too!
