Great Rosh Hashanah Craft Idea: Recycled Bottle Apple Boxes

Rosh Hashanah—the Jewish New Year celebration—starts this Wednesday evening. This holiday is so full of lovely traditions and symbols, including apples dipped in honey and blowing the shofar (a ram’s horn). And there are some wonderful Rosh Hashanah crafts out there for kids to make, including homemade cards, table decorations and honey dishes.
We stumbled upon this adorable and unique Rosh Hashanah craft over at Creative Jewish Mom. Not only is it quick and easy to make, but it’s also a great way to use recycled plastic bottles.
What you’ll need:
• Plastic bottles with bottoms that look like apples (i.e. plastic pop bottles)
• Pieces of real sticks
• Red fabric or tissue paper
• Green felt (in two shades of green)
• Ribbon
• A hole punch
• Hot glue gun
