Parents are always in search of quality television programming that makes their teens and tweens happy. Luckily, there are shows like The Amazing Race that families can sit and watch together. After ten years of being on the air, it’s clear that the Emmy-award winning show is doing something right. And this season, which premiered last night, is no exception.

This season, 11 teams of two will travel together in a race around the world to compete for the ultimate million-dollar prize. Each leg of the race includes clues to help the teams figure out where they’re supposed to travel next or to a task they must perform to keep moving. They’ll journey by boat, plane, truck, taxi and, of course, by foot, and will face all sorts of road blocks and detours along the way.

Look for some really interesting pairs this season. Ethan and Jenna, who have been dating for 7 years, are both past winners of another popular reality show, Survivor. Laurence and his son Zac—the youngest person to sail solo around the world—are doing the race together, too. Two flight attendants, Ron and Bill, have over 35 years of flying experience between them. Andy and Tommy (shown here) are both professional snowboarders. And then there are Kaylani and Lisa, the showgirls, who start of the show with a bang, by losing a passport. Through the kindness of strangers and the power of Twitter, Kaylani gets her precious passport back minutes before she has to board her flight from Los Angeles to Taipei, Taiwan.

The personalities are fantastic, the scenery is beautiful and the competition is fierce. This is a season you do not want to miss! You can catch The Amazing Race on Sundays on CBS, 8pm EST.
