Have your kids met Martha and her friends yet?
See Martha Stewart like you’ve never seen her before—as an animated 10-year-old girl! Martha & Friends is a web series that was created just for kids. According to the press release, the series “features Martha as a problem-solving, craft-loving, generous spirit, who—along with her three best friends and two dogs, Francesca and Sharkey—shows kids how easy it can be to do-it-themselves.”
In the latest episode, “Sew What,” little Martha teachers her Flower Girl group how to use a needle and thread to sew their own buttons onto fabric. Kids can also spin Martha’s “wonder wheel” of projects to find ideas for everything from crafts to cooking.
The whole series is designed to to inspire creativity, foster independent thinking and to celebrate friendship. “Kids are extraordinarily imaginative and we are so glad to be part of a project that encourages, celebrates and rewards their innate creativity and curiosity,” said Martha Stewart, in a press release. “Ever since I was a little girl I’ve had a passion for crafting and cooking and my hope is that this series will inspire a whole new generation of do-it-yourselfers.”
Kids can also visit www.marthaandfriends.com to play games, watch more episodes, find craft projects and meet the characters.
