Nameberry Reveals the Most Popular Baby Names of 2011 (So Far)

Okay, so technically 2011 is only a little more than half over at this point (hard to believe, right?) but there is already a lot of buzz surrounding certain baby names, leading the team at Nameberry.com to put together a list of the year’s most-searched monikers for wee ones.
“Based on an analysis of over 23 million page views at Nameberry since January, we’ve pegged these choices as the hottest names of 2011,” wrote the site’s editors on their blog at Nameberry.com. “It’s a surprising list, driven by unexpected celebrities, rediscovered classics, and the year’s most compelling events.”
The list features names that you’d expect (such as Pippa and Adele) along with a few that might surprise you (like Elula, Hadley and Arlo). You’ll find the full list of names—there are 14—on the Nameberry site. Not on the list? Number 16 Bus Shelter. (But we’re sure it was a tight race.)
