Father’s Day is just around the corner, which means it’s time to start thinking about special ways to celebrate Dad this week. We’ve got plenty of great ideas, including a full Father’s Day menu and lots of tasty recipes for the grill—but what about desserts just for dads?
For the dad who loves to golf, we think these cupcakes from MarthaStewart.com are just the ticket. Not only are they oh-so-cute, but they’re simple to make and kids are sure to have a blast decorating them.
What you’ll need:
• Cupcakes (homemade or store bought)
• Icing
• Green sanding sugar
• Round white candies (any kind)
• Graham cracker crumbs
• Lollipop sticks
• Ribbon
• Glue or tape
The full directions for these Father’s Day Tee-Time Cupcakes, along with recipes for the cupcakes and icing, can be found on Martha’s site. We really like her suggestion to make an entire golf course worth of cupcakes, complete with colourful numbered flags—a great dessert if you’re having a family dinner or backyard BBQ to celebrate Dad.
