Psst. Have you heard of Pinterest yet?
We will warn you right here and now, that once you click on that link up there, there’s a good chance that you will become quickly addicted to pinning.
The idea is quite simple, actually, which we are guessing is part of what makes it so great. It’s a virtual inspiration pinboard. It’s a place where you get a blank slate and you can create your own boards with titles like “LOVE and TRUTH” and “Want to Get in My Belly” and “My Ideal Nursery” and “For My Wedding.” There’s something on it for everyone. If you are planning a wedding, it’s a great place to get ideas for dresses and photos and place cards and invitations. If you are having a baby, it’s a great place to get ideas for crib bedding and wall hangings and beautiful mobiles. If you are planning a dinner party, it’s a fantastic way to gather up food and decorating ideas. If you are a photographer, there are endless ideas for poses and locations and props.
And it’s the perfect place if you just like to look at pretty, pretty things.
You can easily follow other boards and take advantage of the the “repin” option, the comment option, or the “like” button. You can see what inspires them. The beauty of this is that not only is a place to store all the of the things you like to look at, want to buy, and that you possibly covet, it gets rid of the old-school ways of having to keep track of these things. You no longer have to bookmark websites that you’ll never go back to, you don’t have to email yourself links that somehow get lost and deleted and you don’t have to print up pages only to find them used for your children’s artwork.
Are you Pinterested yet? Since the site is still in beta, you either have to request an invite, or you can get one from us. We have invites galore! Let us know in the comments if you’d like one, and we can send one your way!
