Wooden Bracelet attached to Papyrus-brand "Happy Birthday" Card
Product: Wooden Bracelet attached to Papyrus-brand “Happy Birthday” Card.
Description: The front of the card says “Happy Birthday to You.” Glued next to this is a little wooden heart with the word “Smile” written on it. A colourful wooden bracelet surrounds the text and contains one charm in the shape of a butterfly. On the back of the card the following markings appear: “BD 63401| © Jean Card & Gift Company”. The card insert has UPC 734524634013 in the lower right hand corner and is marked with “USA $6.95 | CAN $10.50 | Made in China | Jean Card & Gift Company”.
Hazard: Traces of toxic lead beyond the legal limit, which can be detrimental to the health of young children if ingested, was found in the surface coating of the card.
Time Period/Locations Sold: December 2006-September 2009 in Canada and February 2004-September 2009 in the United States.
Reports of Injuries to
Health Canada and/or manufacturer: Neither Health Canada, Schurman Fine Papers nor the US CPSC have received any reports of injuries or incidents in connection with this product.
Corrective Action: Take the card away from children and contact Schurman Fine Papers for refund information. Call Schurman toll-free at 1-888-990-9095 between 8AM and 5PM ET Monday through Friday (in English only) or visit the Papyrus website.
