Disney’s going back to basics, and we couldn’t be more excited. A recent announcement from the company indicates that they’re working on a new hand-drawn Winnie the Pooh theatrical release, due for Spring 2011.
The company also announced that they’re developing two prime time Handy Manny specials (one for this year, and one for next), as well a 20-episode series called Handy Manny’s School for Tools. They also have plans to give a little more love to Mickey himself, after “extensive research” indicated that kids love the classic mouse.
Here’s what we want to know: will the new Pooh movie feature Christopher Robin or Darby? We have our fingers crossed for Christopher Robin!! And for nostalgia’s sake, check out the intro for the classic Pooh movie above!
