This past week I’ve written about a few of the activities we do as a family but I haven’t written much about Ottawa, the place we call home.

We Ottawans are well aware of our reputation as a sleepy Federal town and dare I say, boring, but the world needs to know that the Ottawa Valley is a pretty great place to live. There is always something going on, you just have to know where to look.

I didn’t really start paying close attention until I began writing for SavvyMom and focusing more on local events and the best kid-friendly activities over at my personal blog. Happily, both of these things have given my family and I the opportunity to criss-cross this great little city and get to know it even better.

It is truly a city for every season, and I love nothing more than helping people discover those hidden treasures Ottawa has to offer.

This is my last guest post for Canadian Family Magazine. If you’re ever in the market for some interesting kid’s crafts and recipes, looking for something to inspire, or just want to read more about our kid-friendly adventures, do drop by my blog, a peek inside the fishbowl.

Thanks for having me, and Happy Spring!

~ Andrea
