Breastfeeding: When Are Kids Too Old?

Call us judgmental, but we’re not entirely comfortable with the idea of this woman breastfeeding her 8-year-old daughter. We’ve had a few discussions around the office to try to figure out why exactly this bothers us: is it because we’re just not used to it? Because it’s just not the norm? Or is something else happening here to make us wince? Or, are we simply passing judgement on a family who has made a choice that is right for them?
We do admire the fact that this family was willing to be public about something that they must have known not everyone will understand. Have a look at the video (potentially not safe for work, though it is a clip from a documentary) and please chime in.
